Invicta Travels Above and Beyond with HFMA

Last week, members of Invicta’s leadership team from around the country converged in Denver, Colorado to attend the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s 2022 Annual Conference, “Above and Beyond,” and several associated events and activities. Upon reflection, those who participated collectively agreed that “above and beyond” was a truly fitting title to capture the spirit of the events.

The conference kicked off with a stimulating keynote address by Dr. Zeev Neuwirth, who serves as the Clinical Chief of Care Transformation & Strategic Services for Atrium Health. Neuwirth provided insights on how the current healthcare system can and should shift to embrace disruption and create new value.

Invicta co-hosted a private welcome event with client and HFMA Conference Sponsor, PwC, on the rooftop of the Le Meridien Hotel, at 54thirty. Clients and collaborators enjoyed libations, light bites, and live music for several hours overlooking Denver’s downtown skyline at sunset. Invicta had an additional reason to celebrate, courtesy of its recently announced collaboration with Sequent Software on the launch of 3PSecure, powered by Invicta. The private event was capped off by city-wide fireworks and celebration as the flatscreens showcased the Colorado Avalanche clinching the coveted Stanley Cup.

The two hottest topics from keynotes, interactive sessions, as well as water cooler and happy hour chats from Sunday through Wednesday were workforce cultivation and retention and data governance, safety, and measurement. Without a doubt, both of these industry challenges are propelling best practice leaders in healthcare systems and their revenue cycle vendors and partners to go the extra mile in order to flourish from the inside out.

The conference Exhibitor experience was extraordinary this year, with nearly 200 exhibitors and a great deal of interactivity. If you didn’t get to visit PwC’s experiential exhibit in the Exhibit Hall, you missed a real treat – a tasty one – because visitors were able to create their own “Selffee” chocolate chip cookie.

Keynote D. J. Vanas inspired the crowd in Tuesday’s General Session. Vanas is an active member of the Ottawa Tribe and a former U.S. Air Force officer. His address focused on ways to apply the power of a true warrior spirit in business and life to stay resilient, lead with courage, and thrive in tough, changing environments. The session wrapped with presentations of the Frederick C. Morgan Achievement Award and the Robert M. Shelton Award for Sustained Chapter Excellence. As our previous news shared, Invicta’s Chief Client Officer, Jude Crowell, received the prestigious Frederick C. Morgan Achievement Award on Tuesday, June 28. Surrounded by friends, family, and HFMA “family, Jude addressed the audience with a heartfelt message of thanks and encouragement and enjoyed two standing ovations.

Many thanks to HFMA’s national leadership team, led by President & CEO Joseph Fifer, and the entire conference planning team on a well-executed event. Team Invicta continues to go above and beyond, and we look forward to the rest of 2022 with renewed enthusiasm!
