Summer 2022 Bits & Bytes – Issue #13

From our Chief Executive Officer

Greetings, Team Invicta! As we move through the dog days of summer towards the fall, our brand continues to flourish. In addition to Lakeland Regional Health, which I announced in our last issue, we have also begun work for several other new clients: Getix Health, Performant Corp, and Receivable Solutions, Inc.

You hopefully read the InvictaCHAT announcement and saw many social media stories about our Chief Growth Officer, Jude Crowell, receiving the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Morgan Award in June. The Fredrick C. Morgan Achievement Award is the highest individual achievement awarded by HFMA, and we are very proud of Jude’s career accomplishments and community servanthood. I encourage you to read the press release details on our website and view the photo gallery in OneDrive.

To support our growth this year, we have launched new initiatives for our employees. In March of this year, we launched our 2022 Employee Insurance Open Enrollment, moving to more robust medical and dental plans through United Healthcare. We added Basic Life and AD&D insurance coverage, completely underwritten by Invicta, for all employees. Additionally, we implemented a Wellness Incentive Program, underwriting costs for employees to hold memberships with Anytime Fitness or Massage Envy. As a growing company, we know that our people are the best assets we have. As such, we have taken a comprehensive and progressive approach to workforce management and employee benefits. The future is bright, and there is opportunity for advancement in every area of the business.

From our Chief Client Officer

It is my distinct honor to invite all Invicta team members to go “Back to School” by volunteering for a local non-profit organization in the month of August whose services and outreach will touch underserved young people. In the coming weeks, we’ll roll out suggestions for service opportunities in our markets, though all employees can choose their own recipient organization. Those of you who work (remote or on-site) in markets near other Invictans are encouraged to volunteer together, schedule permitting. Remember, all full-time employees are eligible for an annual “Volunteer Time Off” day after 6 months of full-time employment.

Earlier this summer, it was my honor to lead the Annual “Unofficial 5K” for the South Carolina Chapter of HFMA. Fifteen years ago, I created the “Unofficial 5K” event to create a team building, philanthropic project that would engage SC HFMA conference participants. We collect modest “registration fees” from each participant and donate the proceeds to different local non-profits each year. We had such a great time with everyone who logged miles with us as well as people around the nation who honored the event by participating in walks/runs in their own neighborhoods.

Finally, if you didn’t see our recap from the recent HFMA national conference in Denver, please check it out on the website. In particular, I want to highlight the event we co-hosted with PwC. PwC became a Claim Status client of Invicta late last year. We have continued to cultivate that relationship, and they asked us to co-host a private event at the HFMA National conference. This is a clear example of how we want customer experience and service excellence to wrap around every client relationship we have. The event we hosted is an example of strategic engagement and brand building. Our guests included healthcare executives from around the country and key PwC and Invicta clients and partners attending the conference. Every time an Invicta team member interfaces with the client, we are reinforcing our brand values and our desire for excellence in all endeavors. Keep up the good work!

An update from our President

Greetings, Invictans! In May, I spoke to the West Virginia Chapter of HFMA with a forward look at our industry. One of the things I reinforced in that presentation was our goal here at Invicta to foster a culture of progressive innovation and technology as well as the challenge this goal presents on a daily basis. As I’ve said many times, there is only one best path for each organization. Factors like fear of the unknown, skillset misalignments, and research and development roadblocks can make it more difficult. The past few years have been the most exciting of my career. Every day, we are testing new ground, failing forward, and setting new standards. You can read more in my summary on the website.

In June, Sequent Software announced a collaboration with Invicta in connection with its newest solution, branded “3PSecure, powered by Invicta.” While we’re still in the early stages with this partnership, it is a testament to the influence that Invicta has within the RCM network. Sequent is a Silicon Valley based technology company with a strong track record in the financial technology space. We look forward to this partnership and expect to have more attractive corporations seek out Invicta for product development collaborations as time goes on.

On the security front, we’ve engaged Arctic Wolf to provide a multi-pronged Managed Security Awareness approach to our Information Security. In many ways, Arctic Wolf now serves as Invicta’s new security team. They will provide ongoing training enhancements and monitoring of our Azure, Office 365 and CrowdStrike system integrations. Additionally, this engagement will allow Invicta to add SOC2 certification to our profile. Arctic Wolf will be overseeing and reporting incidents to IT and to me should we ever experience any unusual activities on our laptops, servers, or networks, so it is great to have such a well-established organization onboard along with our good friends at CrowdStrike. As an organization, we are rapidly approaching a new standard for healthcare security and data compliance, and that wouldn’t be possible without all of us working together with these great partners to keep our company and clients secure.

After some tricky developmental delays, we finally have our Gamification platform back on the rails and optimized for production. The IT Team has been tirelessly working with your managers and VPs to collaborate on an amazing platform that we hope will help all members of our Team, both on-site and remote, really feel the fun and culture of being a part of Invicta. A firm launch date will be coming soon, but let me just say, personally, that there is no project I have worked on since the launch of Invicta that I have been more excited about and honored to be a part of than our Gamification Platform.

Derek Shaw

From our Chief Brand Officer

Greetings, Brand Invicta Ambassadors, and a special “welcome” to our new team members!

Members of our leadership team have traveled quite a bit the past several months. Donny, Jude, Melissa, and Tiffany have spent time on the road to support training and engagement efforts involved with Lakeland Regional Health’s launch, as well as other current and prospective client cultivation activities. I was delighted to spend time in Florida recently, talking about our brand and our purpose with the Orlando Health Team Leads and the brand new Lakeland Enrollment crew. Derek has been asked to present at several highly visible activities in the coming months: The Idaho HFMA Summer Conference, the HIMSS conference, and Inovalon’s Customer Congress in D.C. These are great opportunities to showcase our brand in the broader marketplace.

To keep abreast of professional happenings, follow Invicta’s social channel activity and check out InvictaCHAT. To access InvictaCHAT, in the Teams left side menu, select the 3 dots below “Files.” From the pop-up app suggestion box, select “Communities.” From the “Communities” screen options, select “InvictaCHAT.” Read and support others’ posts, make your own posts, and attach your photos. H/T to Jourdin Stafford for sharing a series of educational posts in CHAT on Juneteenth recently. As a reminder, the Teams “MyInvicta” channel has many resources for you, especially the “Welcome to Invicta” folder.

Finally, I’d like to say “Thank You” to our IT Team, led by David Daugherty, for creating a new branded look and shortcut customizations on our company tablets and computers. If you haven’t seen the new look on your own display yet, it’s on the way.
